Paws of Hope Rescue

Foster

"Paws of Hope" is not a place.

It's a community of volunteers who share a deep desire to give life, love, and security to small dogs that, for one reason or another, find themselves without a home.

We don't have a big kennel full of little dogs. Rather, for a short time, Paws Foster Families provide a transitional home in which they supply comfort and a family environment to a little, lonely dog. Our Foster Families experience the joy and rewards of welcoming into their hearts and homes a rescued pup while Adoption Volunteers process the pup's adoption applications!

Foster Families help socialize and acclimate a Paws pup to home life. Some of these pups have been rescued from animal control agencies; some have come from puppymills; some may have been neglected or abused in their former homes and just need to re-learn trust and the loving touch of a friend; and others came from loving homes yet the owners could not keep them.

Foster Families don't require special training or expensive equipment -- just an open heart and real compassion for small dogs in need. A Foster Family may include a Mom and Dad and their children, others are composed of a single Foster Mom or Dad and the Paws foster pup; some families already have other dogs that are compatible with the Paws Foster pup.

All Foster Families can rely on the collective experience, advice, and support of all the other Paws of Hope members. We're only a phone call or a mouse click away!

In order to become a Paws of Hope Foster Family (or a Paws Mom or Dad), please complete a Foster Home Adoption Process. If your application is approved, you'll work with our Foster Home Coordinator to select the rescued pup that will best "fit" in your home while waiting for approval of his or her Furever Family.

Being selected, as a Paws of Hope Foster Parent is just the beginning of the most exciting and heartwarming volunteer experience you'll ever have. Please apply NOW for the opportunity to love and nurture a special rescued dog as he or she prepares for the next step in his life's journey.
