George Hi you all. This is George. Miami's Shelters are overwhelmed after Katrina crossed over. Getting Georgie was a huge Rescue Effort. These are before and just after ONE week of George's Rescue. Yes he came to us sad and hungry and yes he has a cold. He has seen our vet and is receiving proper antibiotics to help him over his cold. As we vet little Georgie we feel it is necessary to ask you all to open your homes and hearts to these hundreds maybe more that have lost their way due to our recent disaster Katrina. Our hearts are sad as we pray for all. We expect an influx of little ones such as Georgie. Georgie is appox 8 years old and the dearest sweetest big eyed Shihtzu. He is appox 10 pounds needs a few more pounds. We just adore him. He's not ready to be adopted but we feel sharing his story and progress will show you just how important Rescue is. Michael, aka Mikey, has arrived! I’m a young 12-month-old male Shih Tzu, approximately 14 lbs, and snow white. I love playing with my dog and kitty friends. My foster mom says I’m 98% Angel and 2% Devil. I’m active and curious about everything, it’s the puppy in me, but I am also a little sweetheart. I love belly rubs and will roll over whenever the opportunity arises for one. Mom says I am a smart little guy and already completely housetrained. I go to the door and let you know I have to go out. I’m looking for an experienced mentor to teach me to be a good dog. UPDATE: Mikey being the puppy that he is, has started playing a little too rough with the cats. His intentions are not to hurt but to tackle them! We have decided that it would be better that he not go into a home with them.
Suzie Hi you all. This is Suzy. Miami's Shelters are overwhelmed with dogs. And after Katrina crossed over even more pups looking for homes. Suzy is fully vetted. Suzy is 3 years old approx. Suzy is the happiest girl. She has a kiss for everyone. She is playful and so loving and searching for her own family. She is appox 20 pounds. We just adore her.. Pete Meet SWEET Pete! Pete is a Maltese Boy. He is about 3 years old. He is housetrained. And is quite simply Wonderful He is fully vetted and neutered He is a dear loving boy! I don't know why he ended up in a shelter but he wasn't eating and he looked horrible. Today Sweet Pete is looking for yes A Stay Home Person. See Pete hates to be alone. He is great with other dogs and just adores humans. Not so good with the cats. He loves to chase them and bark at them. He is a dog that will adore his human.
This Foster Mama will miss him terrible. How could such a lovely dog make it to a shelter is beyond us.
But we are SO grateful to the shelter that called me to take him into a home environment. As you can see by that smile he is one happy boy!
